20.12.2024. Our colleagues from Teltonika have successfully tested the integration of the NC80 speed limiting device with their on-board terminal (GPS tracker) FMC130. The NC80 speed limiting device was controlled using two discrete inputs on the SLD NC80, one of which was set to 15 km/h. As soon as the SLD NC80 received power from the FMC130 to one of its discrete inputs, the SLD NC80 immediately physically limited the vehicle speed to 15 km/h. And it maintained this limitation as long as power was received from the FMC130. From the point of view of our colleagues from Teltonika, the test was successful. However, at the moment, the integration of the SLD NC80 with Teltonika GPS trackers is only possible via discrete inputs, which significantly limits the flexibility in choosing speed limit values. We really hope that our colleagues from Teltonika will find a way to integrate their devices in a more technologically advanced form, using RS232 and/or Bluetooth. You can read the test protocol in detail here.
